  the request of the local fishing community in the mid-20th century\,
  preserves and shares traces of human occupation spanning thousands of
  years. Children will also learn about the former Santa Teresa convent

  baroque sacred artworks at the Museum of Sacred Art in the Church of
  Nossa Senhora da Boa Morte\, built between 1762 and 1779 in the historic
  city of Goiás. Conservators will demonstrate techniques used to preserve
  polychrome wooden sculptures\, gilded altarpieces\, and devotional
  paintings from the museum's collection of over 2\,300 items. Visitors can
  observe the restoration process up close\, ask questions\, and learn
  about the intersection of art\, faith\, and craftsmanship in colonial
  Goiás. The museum is maintained by the Diocese of Goiás and

  Guarani-Baroque statues\, and the surrounding landscape at golden-hour
  light. A professional photographer will guide the group on composition\,
  lighting\, and storytelling through images. The walk concludes with a
  group review and discussion of selected photographs. Bring your own
